Carb Needle Seat Filter Screens

I just bought a set of K&L carb rebuild kits for my 99 ZX11. OEM seat body has an attached filter screen. K&L kits don't come with it. Is this filter screen removable and if so, can it be attached to the K&L needle seat body? I'd like to have that extra layer of filtering protection.

yep the little filters pop off. dont crush them and they should pop back on the k&L seats.. just like stock...
