ZX9R Fork Swap

I was wondering if someone could tell me if any 636 forks will fit on a 2002 zx9r. If so which years?

if you mod the triples you can make it work just like i did on my zrx.... use the zx9 triples with the zx6 stem and have them machined to work..... heres a link to the thread about doing it to my bike...... you very well could get lucky and they will have used the same stem/bearings......

but im curious why you want to change ur 636 forks ? is there something wrong with them ? what year ?

thanks for your input! i am actually changing the forks on a 2002 zx9. the forks are damaged so they need replacing. i also own a 2003 636r and it has inverted forks on it. i would rather have inverted forks on the zx9 as well. i want to buy forks on ebay but want to make sure that my purchase is going to work for me.so my question is will 636 forks from 2003 and up fit onto a 2002 zx9. if so what years will work and is there any modifications to be done.

gonna be the same answer i gave ya already. but im gonna say you prob. should buy the ENTIRE front end (triples, forks, fender, rim, brakes, calipers etc) so you dont have to modify more than you already will ...
its gonna be a big mixing game and figureing out where ya need machine work etc... wont be a direct bolt on.... then ya gotta figure out how to mount body work etc....
