My 95 zx7 the rpm's are slow to come down

when i release the throttle no matter how fast i was going it is very slow to come back down when i release the throttle even when i close the throttle all the way....any1 got a clue as to why and how can i fix it? Thx..

have ya been playing with the carbs ? stuck/dirty throttle cable ? grip hanging up on switch housing/end of bar ? air leak causing a lean mixture ?
