1992 zx7r boggs

i just got a 1992 zx7r with 1700 miles on it.i cleaned entire fuel system and replaced filters in tank.it starts and runs great untill you hammer on the throttle it boggs then will rev to close to full rpms, thats just running on the kickstand.when riding it falls on its face @4000 rpm then will start reving.it had 150 main jets and i changed to 142.5(thats the smallest i had)and its a little better-but not much.i ran it with the air box off on kickstand and it still does it.any help would be greatly appreciated.

i got the bike with the carbs off,i downloaded the hayes manual and cant find too much about that other than the fuel inrichner solenoid-what happens if the hoses are reversed?also i dont have the overflow lines connected, when i connected the one i had with the little bottle at the end it would make those 2 carbs flood.i set the float height to 9mm like the book said, its a k model by the way.

142.5 mains for sea-level Florida? Denver, maybe. I don't recommend that as a work-around, especially if you maintain high RPM for any length of time. It's only a 5% decrease, but for comparison, mine is reduced 3% and my base elevation is 4,500.'

I'm with Zaney, look for other issues.

make sure the fuel line isnt kinked I had one every time I set the tank down the line would kink and it did the same thing. It comes with a formed line from the factory and if you use a regular line you have to get almost a 90 degree bend they have a spring at the auto parts store you put around the line and can bend it solved my problem.

Don't think so. Those flatsides are notorious for being hard to tune. When I took my bike to the shop for the first time the old school race track mechanic took one look and I reckon noticed what kind and vintage bike it was and quickly said he wouldn't touch it if it had flatsides (he was joking, but there was some real angst in his voice...)
