stalls at idle

Hello, my brother has a 03 or 04 zzr1200 that has been sitting for two months. i drained the gas and put in fresh gas. started it up and only runs with choke on. i let it run till the fan came one so i know it was warmed up . took the choke off and stalled . checked plugs . looked good but put in new ones anyway . noticed that the spark was not a bright crisp one ? would that cause it not to run at low rpm ? if so what could cause the spark to be week .i fully charged battery and no change . tried seafoam also . now it will run with choke half way. when you go to give it throttle , stalls . please help. i want to get it going for him ,so when he comes back we can ride .

Only two months and now it runs like this? I've read about this exact problem on other carb'ed ZXs here. You could try searching to see how they were resolved. Without knowing the history of that particular bike, I think generally that the recommendation will be to drain and pull the float bowls off for a cleaning.

It's probably an obstruction in/with:
Pilot air screws
pilot jet
float needle sticking/blocked/fuel munge
jet needle/main jet
flat slides stuck
or something that was disassembled recently regarding vacuum/ignition/fuel
If you're familiar with carbs and a little mechanically inclined, you can buy some B-12 carb cleaner and blow the carb intake and jet holes out and verify if there was an obstruction somewhere.
