Frame Slider Question

There is a guy at my job that has a ZX10. I believe it's an 06. I've never seen him, but always see his bike. He's usually parked next to me when I leave for work.

Anyway, I noticed that he put some frame sliders on his bike, but it's in a place that I've never seen before.

I was wondering if anyone else has come across an install like this. Seems like it would be easier to install since you dont' have to go through the left fairing.

How would it hold up?

I don't have a picture of his bike, but will definately take one next week. It's nice seeing two kawi's parked next to each other.

Let me know what you think.

The red circle is where he has his installed. Thoughts please

Appears to be an engine mount bolt. If its the same as a 636 its only 10mm diameter.

I believe it would hold up pretty well. It's more centralized on the bike. and it's on the sturdier part of the frame. Sliders generally go through an engine mount bolt anyhow.
