94 frame, all 99 parts

am close to buying my second zx7, owner says it is a 94 frame, with all 99 parts (motor, suspention, plastic, everything 99), anything i should look out for, any problems with this set up, any help would be great.

YA!! Look out for B.S. the 99 zx7R motor to the best of my nolage will NOT fit a 94 frame.

thanks, anyway to tell what year motor is, i had a feeling he was full of it

If I seen it I could tell ya just by looking at it. But 1 destinck trat is the 91-94 zx7 motors the clutch cover is a dark gray And on the 96-03 zx7 it's black..... And if you could check the first couple of letters in the VIN you can tell if it has an J through O it's 91-95 And P on up it's 96-03

thanks, great tip. im going to check bike out tonight, talked to the tech that did the work, he said the swap was easy, a few spacers was all that was needed. tech is a friend of the current owner though, so i am still going to proceed with cation.
