07 Zx6r FI Light

ok I just got all the parts and sensors put on my project bike. And when I put on the gauges on the FI light came on. Well the bike has been sitting for a little over 7 months from when it got wrecked. Now I do have a relay for the fuel system with a jumper wire. I think thats whats causeing it to come on or is it like a check engine light in a car that it will stay on untill you reset it. Got any idea guys.

You need a manual.

From the manual: page 3-37

Battery needs to be fully charged.

Self diagnosis flow chart:

Turn Ignition off

Turn Ignition on

Display the odometer and Push the mode button
for more than two seconds. The self diagnosis
mode starts.

The service code is then displayed on the LCD
display

Turn ignition off.

Locate problem and repair DFI and immobilizer
on immobilizer models.

Repeat sequence.

If there is more than one code they should cycle at 2 sec intervals.

gammac, i followed the procedure but messed up somewhere cause its not working.
i turned on ignition (didn't start it), went to the odometer, and held down "Mode" for 2 seconds+ and nothing. i have an 06 but i didn't think this would effect it.
