Pre 1996 zx7 vs 96 and onward interchangeability

Specifiacally need to know if pre 96 top triple will work on the 96 forks?

They might fit but I wouldn't think so. I know 91-95 have the same forks and tree and the 96-03 are the same. I think the fork diamiter is a little smaller on the 96+ than the 95-.......

The upper triples are the same from 91 on so it will work.
