ZX6R F2 frame split without being dropped HELP!!! :(

Hiya

anyone else had this?

frame split across the ali box section under my tank on left side, its almost gone right through now. Looks like it came up from the weld seam.

Any suggestions to get it fixed or does anyone know of an F2 Frame going cheap in the UK so I can avoid scrapping it?

I wouldn't be so gutted if I dropped it but the bike has never hit tarmac.

If someone just has an F2 with a blown engine they want to shift that would be good also, i spent loads getting the engine sweet then it does this :@

I thought that but most places i've asked said because its in a place on view you have to take everything off the frame, weld it finish it then repaint or powder coat and then have it retested before it will be allowed back on the road .Last quote was more than the bike is worth and most guys wouldnt touch it :(

Only time it has to be inspected is if it has a salvage title. you don't need to take everything off the frame just everything around where it needs to be welded. (Motor & wireing harrness)

not worth the time or money to have it welded, coated, and checked. check ebay for a new one...

You can spend $500-$1000 on a new frame or $300 to have it welded and powder coated up to you...
