My zx6 seems liek it has a dead battery, but its brand new...

I bought a new battery and my 02 zx6 still doesnt seem to hold a charge. If i jump it it starts right up and runs fine but once i turn it off the only way to start it back up is to jump it.any help would be great

At the shop that I work at we've been having problems with the batteries not soaking correctly. Meaning that when we fill them with acid, the plates aren't taking it. It's been taking about 1-2 days average for most batteries to soak. If it doesn't soak correctly before it's charged, then it won't hold a charge for very long. Also, if the battery isn't given a good initial charge, the life of the battery is significantly reduced.

bring it to a shop and have them test it first.
