Throttle is sticking! any help?

My throttle snaps right back and i have taken the grip and lubed under. Nothing to do with the grip. RPMs will still stay high after i accelerate and take a few seconds to lower. Do you think it would be the throttle cablke sticking somewhere. I checked the tihgtness of the cables too. its not that. i have an 02 zx6r. Any help would be awesome
thanks

did you just do a service? if so you migh want to see if there is an air leak. it sounds like the donuts holding on the carbs might be leaking. Maybe? does the idle seem to dip when you stop hard too?
