Question ZX11 dies without the choke on

I have a 1994 zx11. Daily rider. I filled the tank up, rode 10 miles, no problems. Got home, replaced the front tire. Then when I started it, it ran fine on choke but when I try to give it any throttle it dies instantly.

It has new:
air filter
spark plugs
fuel filter
fuel pump relay
fuel pump

Still same problem. I am stumped.

Anybody have an idea what I am overlooking? ( don't say bad front tire )

I'm still working on it. It is quite baffling. I replaced the fuel and checked for a good spark.

next I will go thru the carbs even tho I don't expect to find anything.

A buddy of mine suggested it might be an ignition prob, but I am not convinced unless somebody that has been thru this posts otherwise.

More to come....

does it ride with the choke on? does it ride well when it is on?

does any one know if the choke is air or fuel?

if the choke is a fuel enritchener then it means there is not enough fuel going to the carbs. if it is an air choke then there is too much fuel and not enough air. hope this helps.

also check your fuel lines to see of they are soft. they need to be stiff and flexible. not soft and flexible.

I went through the carbs and found reddish sediment in all float bowls. The number 4 pilot jet was completely clogged. The other 3 were partially clogged. I used a strand from a wire brush to clean them out and air pressure to blow out all the fuel/air tubes. It runs fine now. NOTE TO SELF- Repalce the fuel filter more often! Goes to show a daily rider can get clogged jets. Thanks for the responses....
