Manuals are strange

Here's a good one.

Muggins trades his '06 636 in on a new '08 ZX6R (ZX600P8F).

End of year model runout.

As I like to check things, fires up the '07 pdf manual to look over
the suspension settings (previous experience with the last one where
someone had wound off the fork preload.)

Page 13-6

Specifications:
Fork spring preload 5 turns IN from fully counterclockwise position

Page 13-9 Diagram shows 5 turns OUT from full hard

Owner's Hand Book
page 127

Preload 5 turns in *

Below this:

* in from the fully seated position.

Which to me would be fully clockwise.

??????????????????

Checked with a 19mm socket and it was 5 turns in from counterclockwise.

While it didn't rain here in SE Queenland on Wednesday, it did Thurs. and Fri.
so we've still only got 78km on the clock.

Made a few heads scratch at the dealers too. With the lousy weather I had to do something.
