Whats up ? heres my prob.....I have a 96 zx9 with a bad crankshaft , I found a zx750 engine of the same year, what is the diff between the two ? besides the obvious, power.... could I use that 750 block with my top end ? would the 750 bolt right in? would the electronics plug right in ? Im a new zx owner coming from the HD family (vrod) !!!!!! any help would be GREATLY appriciated ! Thanks............
wow! don't even think about it! the zx9 and zx7 not only have a different bore, but importantly a different stroke, which means that you cannot share the cranks! DO NOT even think about this! theres too much that WOULD (not could) go wrong here! i can't even imagine! find an b-series motor or good crankshaft, but only form a 1994-1997 ZX-9R. good luck!!!
