Excellent weekend. Great ride up with Stu (Bagman) and Ronda and Ron (Kezbo22) and Debs even though it was a tad wet. Arrived safely at the Hotel and met with Liz and Ian. Fantastic meal out .. well spotted Stu.. and the Ace was Ace. Nice to finally meet Boomer and try his new seat. Martin B who looks taller in real life! and KwakerKen. (I've grown a beard since that avatar). Had a superb ride home on Sunday with Ron.
Stu stayed another night cos he liked the hotel so much
Glad everyone got home safely. Hope Liz and Ian had a safe trip back to France as well.
Here are a few piccies.

As the other lads have said we had a good ride up , even if it was a bit damp.

On arrival at the hotel we adjourned to the very classy lounge bar

<--------- click thumbnail to get the bigger picture..
L-R -- Ronda , Chris, Gill, Debs, Liz, Ian , Ron.

Later on a quick stroll up the high street and we found a nice Portugeuse place to eat and discovered that Hitman Chris is NOT a vegetarian..

Next morning at the Ace cafe we also discovered that Boomer is not THAT big

Guess which one is Boomer..

We spotted a GTR with a sofa on it..

That Boomer let me sit on.. and yes it is as comfy as it looks..

The day at the Ace finished well when I won a Kawasaki T-shirt for guessing the price of the new 250 sports bike they have just started selling,

and then the star bike of the day started up and shot down the road in a cloud of blue castrol R fumes

It was great to meet you all and I am sure that there will be more meets where we can get to know each other better.

Stu.. and Ronda.. <----- no H

Was great to meet you all on Sunday.
Ella and I had a good time too.
Ella told me that when Stu and me started talking technical her and Ronda had a good natter about how BORING we menfolks get when we talk bikes.

Ella passed her Theory yesterday and I'm booking her on the DAS today.
So, next time she should be on her own bike.
Youpie, that means I can PLAY!!!
(if you've seen "Over the Hedge" then PLAY is said the same as the Rottweiler says it <LOL>)

Passed Liz, Ian and Becky on the M25 on the way home.
Looked like they were settling in for a long run but it's only 80 miles to the Tunnel
I guess they did have a fair distance to cover the other side of the Sleeve.

I have a small mountain of pics so need time to sort through them all and get them posted somewhere. We're away this weekend, not on the bike unfortunately, so may not get them posted until next week.

As for the comments about my size, well at least I'm shrinking. <LOL>
As for the sofa saddle,.... it's MINE and you can't have it!
Get yer own!! http://www.day-long.com

Thanks Liz, I've passed that on to Ella.
Her DAS is booked but I'm not saying when.
Guess I'd better start looking for a bike for her for when she passes. ;-)

Have a fun weekend all.

I can just see Ella on an FJR,.... NOT!
Will probably get her a GPZ500 to start with.
At least she can get her feet down on those.
Besides, my garage has a sign that says "Kawasaki Parking ONLY!".

Have posted my Ace Cafe pics on my website in the "Trips" section.
That's the best of them but not all of them.
I took 200+ pics.
