Headlight condensation

When riding in the wet or even after washing the bike I get some condensation build up behind the headlight lens. In the service manual the
Upper Fairing Assembly (Cowling Upper (part number 55028A)) appears to have the acrylic lens inserted which must be seperate from the sealed beam unit. Is this the case?
Has anyone had the headlght unit out yet, and are these seperate units allowing moisture to condense between the two layers?
