Angry Electronics Acting Up ??????

I installed a "Priorty Plus" on my C14 today.

When I turn the key switch to the OFF position, the front and rear flashers flash,
tach and speedo swing all the way to the right, and I hear the fuel pump wind up.
It does this 4 times then stops. It is doing what it normally does when you put the
key in the ON position.

The "Priority Plus" is a device that makes the turn signals running lights
and makes the flash for 1.5 seconds when you apply the brakes.

To install this, you have to cut the HOT to the LEFT and RIGHT turn signal
and connect the device between them. You also have to ground the device
and attach its power cable to the BRAKE wire.

I when to the local Kawasaki dealer where I bought the "Priority Plus" and the
lead mechanic was baffled.

Any ideas ????? I don't want to mess up my electronics, especially my fuel
pump or relay.

Sounds like bleed of power thru the Ki-pass system somehow. I think I would try to return the bike to normal and hope this issue goes away. I don't think those lights are in the CANBUS.

Spoke with Doug. Says the Priority Plus is not
compatible with the C14's electronics.
Thinks the system my be doing some kind of a
voltage check and may not be finding what it needs
due to the circuit in the Priority Plus.
Thanks for all you help.
