Had mine to 165 mph indicated. Seemed like it was still pulling but I was running out of straight road so I throttled back. I was amazed at how smooth the bike was at that speed, perfectly stable, not a hint of a shudder. Next time I'll try it with my max speed recording GPS and maybe a couple bags of groceries in the bags just to prove a point :)

I have had mine up to 255kph around 160mph, it would of gone higher, but that was all the nerve I had at the time.

Wow, I've had mine up to 130 but dumb thing to do on public highway....so I backed off. It sure was smooth though, when my VStar hits triple digits it feels like I'm getting too close to my last minute on earth.

One nice spring day at the 3300 foot elevation took the 06 ZX-14 into fuel limit for approximately 3 seconds. Bike pulled into fuel limit, held its RPM without up and down stuttering. Very smooth engine and stable bike. Temp was aound 45 degrees F with a 5 mph head wind. Run was started at 100 mph from a hill top and ran out on the flat for about a mile.

Thats your evidence?
One picture with a claimed time and speed.
Yer smokin' coke if you think a Connie can outdrag a ZX-14.

Hi Toecutter,
I Just spotted this thread, so I am sorry for my late arrival,
I have not kept the printouts of my times down the strip, and even if I did they only show lane one and lane two and there is nowt to identify the bike on them anyway, so that would not be enough proof for you would it
It was only a 1/4 mile drag and the GTR got off the line far quicker than the ZZR every time.. I was launching at 4000-4500 revs and the big torque really did spit it down the strip quickly.
If it was a 1/2 mile run the ZZR would have pissed all over me as he was always catching me up near the finish line
It may be that I got 4 "lucky" starts but, I am sure that with YOU on the seat of the ZZR that I would not stand a chance on the 1/4 either, but we will never know will we
One last small point Ron (Kezbo22) was there that day at RAF Portreath along with another few hundred members of our local bike club when the "cocaine induced fantasy" took place , so why would I lie about it ?
Stu..

I don't doubt the sincerity of your claims, but because you beat some obvious dolt does not mean the Connie (as fine as a bike that it is) is some kind of dragstrip monster.
I've beat gixxers on my old TLR, does that mean the tiller is a better race bike than the gixxer?
The Connie has a de-tuned engine from the ZX, not that much more torque and she's a whole lot fatter.
I have a friend with the first generation Connie and I've watched him humiliate guys on supersports. In his case and yours it is/was the skill of the pilot not the bike that is the deciding factor.
Cheers to you for schooling that newb, you need to find a ZX pilot in your skill catagory for a real test. I would be happy to oblige, but as you say theres a bit of a pond between us.
