I just bought some (very expensive) stainless steel that can be machined and I'm going to try making them without the pressed-in nylock nut. I'll have to put thread locker on them to prevent them from vibrating loose. There is so little clearance between the tail light and the rack these have to be pretty low-profile and the s.s. gives strength without the bulk of aluminum.

Fortunately Phil, IAAL! I can tell you the practicality of suing someone on a product liability claim in the US, from the UK outweighs the benefits.
Remember Kwaks own rack is made from cheese and their side cases fall off!!!
Just sell your tee nuts in the UK then?
How about selling in UK under a contract governed by US law and under US jurisdiction?
You could also sell the items in the US under a contract governed by English law and under English jurisdiction (lots of US law is English derived):
PROVIDED THAT the buyer signs that he agrees to those terms.
Good heavens, I sound like a lawyer...
