Welcome!!
No need to be frightened, you will be more than happy!!!

I've had 4 Kawasaki (z1000, z1300, z250c and GTR) and all have been problem free.
What have you ridden in the past? You'll love the GTR smoothness it's easy to ride and has brilliant handling!!!

I went out yesterday with a friend on his 60KM-old Yamaha R1 and he had a real bad time holding onto legal speed-limits, and had to stop many times for sore arms, trying to retain the R1 seating position .
Lovely bike the R1 but after yesterday I'm so glad I got my GTR, it's probably the easiest bike I've had to operate, comfortable in fast or slow speeds, cruises at any speed happily all day, silent and vibration-free...!!

Merry Christmas to you too, I notice the weather in Poland today is 23F, so you might be waiting till springtime to ride it???

PS, you said you're Polish, but I notice you're in Ireland..oh well, the weather in both of them isn't too much different??
(holey sh*t, I just checked a weather site, you're worse off if you're in Cork, max 10F today predicted - here in Sydney where I am we expect 78F today) !!!

Hello Greko, I think the weather is very similar to what we get on the west coast of Canada, we can ride a few days a month. Welcome and enjoy and use all the info on the board.

CRWDDYZ, my wife are planning a 2 week trip to California and surrounding area for the first 2 weeks of march. What kind of weather do you think we will run into, I am assuming that we may run into all kinds. What do you think.

Hard choice, I know - my last bike was the GS1150, I had lots of ADV options, but after 5 years of good fun I really wanted a smooth and powerful ride, the BMW twin is not a smooth bike, and I was worried about the extra weight in the GTR, as I'm only 5'6" (and very lazy )... but to my amazement the GTR really feels 100kg LIGHTER than the GS and I am movin it around the garage, car parks or my big yard at home - with ease!!!!

Non-stop smiles now... very happy

Welcome M8 and weather wise, I know just how you feel.
Have some friends in ireland so must get over there one day. Would love to see the country. You will definitely enjoy this bike. I can't fault anything on it yet and the ride is superb. Bit of a difference in style and ride to a GS1200though. Odd choice comparison .
Have a good Christmas.
