Concours OTD price
Well, I sold my BMW and I got a price quote of $14500 out the door for a Concours 14ABS, sounds like an ok deal to me, any thoughts? Thanks.

Considering that taxes are a little higher in CA than PA; not bad. My C 14 -c- ABS was 14099 OTD in central PA (6% tax + tags and doc fees)

Yeah, we're almost up to 8%. It was pretty easy haggling, I walked up to the sales manager and asked "how much out the door for the Concours?"
"15,700" he said.
"How about a better price so I don't go to one of your competitors that I've already called."
"14,500."

$ 14,500 is high !!!!! Don't pay it
I just got mine (ABS) from East Bay Motorsports in Hayward two weeks ago. I walked in and to the first sales person I saw and said, "Do you a C-14 ABS ready to go NOW. He said yes and walked me to it. I said no need I have ridden one and I'll take it today if the price is right. Second bike I bought from them in 2 years and I sent a friend there a week before I got mine and he bought a Vulcan 900. I bet I could refer you direct to the sales manager and you could get the same price I got, but I really think you could do better. Let me know if I can help you out.
They quoted me $ 17,999 out the door, that was MSRP plus fees and taxes. I guess there are people who will pay MSRP out there.
I told them I would pay $ 13,000 OTD. they laughed. We settled at $ 13,899 OTD (there next offer)....I put down $ 1000 and financed thru Kawasaki on their current deal of 8.99% for 24 months then it goes up after that. I'll pay it off next month after the holidays are over though.
I believe if you walk in and tell them you are serious you can get the bike for less than $ 13,899. I am sure I could have got to $ 13,500 or better...but just didn't feel like bickering.
Try Merced Powersports, I have several friends who have gotten very good deals from them and they are not to far from you.

Bloody hell.....in the UK, back in September, I paid $22364.00 for mine OTD. £10995.00.
They have come down a bit now though to about £9995.00 if you hunt around. ($20330.00)
Kawasaki here did not allow dealers to discount the MRRP of $22364.00. when the bike first came out here.
I know if I bought one from the states I would save a bit but the import duty would make the bike pretty much the same and warranty would go out the window for a grey import.
This pricing structure sucks.

Yeah, but you get to choose from different colors...or is it spelled 'colours'?

Ok, got two different dealers down to $14000 out the door. Thanks for the motivation to keep dealing with them. Should be picking it up on Saturday.

I drove over to Alabama from Georgia and got an ABS model for $12,299 plus tax (7%) for a total of $13,160. It pays to shop around!

Well, just got a price quote for 13,500 out the door. If this linear relationship between days and hundreds of dollars off keeps up, I should get it for free if I can hold out another 25 days or so

Cool...I knew 13,500 could be had I should have held out for it too.
Now call another dealer you have not talked with yet...tell 'em you want to buy this weekend, you have already rode the bike and your mind is made up..the only problem being you want to pay only $ 13,000 OTD. Amazing what they will do to move merchandise at Xmas to make a few more bucks.

What dealer did you end up going with? Good job. 135oo seems like a great deal to me here in CA. I was quoted 15200 at a local dealer.

Got mine for $ 13,899 OTD at East Bay Motor Sports in Hayward...they offered $ 17,999 first and 10 minutes later it was $ 13,899. That was there second offer. I am sure I could have got $ 13, 500 or maybe even $ 13,000 OTD...just decided not to bicker.
I think mwsedam is going to get his this weekend.....can't wait to hear his final price....
