Missed a deer on yesterdays ride
A buck jumped a fence about 50 yards in front of me. I was rounding a curve to a short straight and had plenty of time to roll of the throttle. The truck coming the other way did not see the deer and clipped his hind quarter. Sent that buck flying down the road, doing 360's for about 100 feet. Then luckily he slid off the other side of the road away from me Stuff happens fast in the hill country....ride safe and watch the sides for critters

Hey, despite all the Kangaroo's we've got here I've seen some big deer crossing roads at various times (Putty Road was one, for the Aussies). who knows how they got here but they've bred and multiplied now we have 'roos and deer to watch.

Over on the COG site is a report of a guy hitting a deer. The thing jumped right out in front of him, he only saw it just before the impact. The C-14 CUT the deer in two! The bike looked like someone had walked up and ripped the front off! The guy said it took 3 cigarettes before he could ride, yes ride, the bike home!
