Would stock ZX14 duals work if.....
if I removed the centerstand? I seem to remember that a main problem someone noticed when comparing the pipes was that the center stand on the concours was in the way. I have a bike lift so don't really need the center stand, and can find used ZX14 duals for way less than the $1200-1500 estimated for the muzzy's. Anyone have an idea of whether the ZX14 pipes have any chance of fitting the concours?

My guess would be no, because the drive shaft is going to require more clearance than the ZX-14 chain.

Well, I should know for sure in about a week.
Looking closely at hi-res photos of the ZX14 and C14 side by side, I think the only thing that might not work out will be the centerstand. I see however that Kawi offers a centerstand that looks suspiciously similar to the C14 stand for the ZX14, so maybe it will fit. Like I said, I should know for certain soon and will post results positive or negative.
The shaft drive does not look much wider than the chain swingarm, especially toward the front where it might be an issue, we shall see......

Still ironing out the fine details but no doubt about it, it works.

All done, just need to do some paint touch-up on the passenger peg where it was welded. Check it out, here:

Looks good. I took my stock system off and installed a Two Brothers Carbon Fiber pipe.
We just went through 4 to 6 inches of snow here so the bike is staying inside for a while.
I can't wait for spring.

Only took one 30 minute ride so far thanks to the weather, the holidays and the job, but had no problems at all on that ride.

I have access to a stock ZX14 exhaust system and was thinking about fitting this system to the C14 using Akrapovic slip on muffllers instead of stock mufflers, any thoughts? Clear the bags? Tried a TBR system and was not for me, all of my past Akrapovics have been very well manered with noise levels and decent power. Maybe?????

Should work as long as the aftermarket pipes don't hang higher than the stock ones. The clearance under the bags with the ZX14 pipes is extremely tight, I'm talking about a little less than 1/4" between the pipes and the molded hinge area. If the aftermarket pipes hang the same as the stock ZX14 pipes it will work. No high mounts unless you want to ride without the bags in which case you should get a ZX14 in the first place. :)
You would also be cat-free since the 06 and 07 zx14 headers have no cats.

I believe there is a cat system intigrated into the zx14 cans thats why there so freakin big , and just a note they get smokin hot a 1/4 inch clearance seems a little close you might keep a close eye on that area if you do much idling or slow riding. I say smokin hot in comparison to your average exhaust. my micron gets hot but doesn't seem to radiate the amount of heat the factory cans did. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

that'll get me started.

Thanks BlueBomber14! I am not quite sure I have it 100% even but to me it looks 1000% better than stock!
Eugenio_SS, My wife says it is a bit louder but I don't hear it. I think it has a nice low rumble to it. You have to keep in mind that these are factory mufflers that had to meet sound restrictions so they won't be that load.
