Shouldn't he allowed it to cool some between runs?

Cool vid. The guy says that dynos don't lie. Sure they don't lie, but they don't all read the same. The have many differences from machine to machine that can lead to differing results. I think the point is to baseline your bike, do the mods, then check it on the same dyno machine. This way the actual numbers may not be super accurate however you will be able to accurately measure any gains or losses. When the guys was comparing the C to the ZX, the ZX had more HP at higher rpms. Not a big surprise to me. I'm sure the ninja has bigger cams which would explain the top end HP difference. Plus, Kawasaki is hanging their hat on the new ninja. Of course they wont let another bike in their line up match its performance, even if they could easily do so.

Had mine on a dyno last Saturday. Didn'ty spend much time playing with it, didn't grab a plug wire so were unable to get the torque. HP was right at 140 in 4th, 139 in 5th. Plan on doing the muzzy duels, PC, and the flys. Depending who you talk to, it should then put out somewhere between 160 and 165. Currious if I'll be giving up torque on the low and mid range. Another "Big" plus should be that it'll run much cooler without all the pollution garbage. Will post when it's done.

Ron I'm just curious, however, If you didn't GET a torque reading HOW did they get HP!! And if you meant you didn't get an RPM reading, how did they get HP.
Dynos measure TORQUE. Hp is only a derived measure from torque. Further to calculate HorsePower from the Torque measurements you MUST KNOW RPM ?
