I don't do rear cams... but I did position a couple of 3 inch round convex spotter mirrors in the inboard lower corner of each of the stock mirrors. This would be where your rearward view would normally be blocked by the saddlebags. I then adjusted the stock mirrors so that I could see directly behind me, while looking over the convex mirrors (and the saddlebags). And as they are intended to do, the spotter mirrors eliminate the blind spots on either side.
If you do stick these on, I found the double stick foam doesn't hold for long, so cut out about 3/4 to 1 inch diameter the center of the double stick form and squirt in some adhesive for additional support. Also, get the metal backed mirrors such as the ones sold by Carquest autoparts stores, not the cheap plastic ones like Bell, which are sold by the wally or k marts . The metal ones hold up better and they seem to have better optics. With both mirrors and some adhesive, you'll spend less than $10.
With this set up I have no problems seeing everywhere I want to see, and have even seen a few things I didn't want to see !
BTW;
In the past I tried the smaller convex spotters, but the stock mirrors are positioned to far away to make anything visible in the smaller spotters.
