Two Brothers Slip On
Well I had a $160 credit from my Kawasaki dealer that was burning a hole in my pocket so I decided to buy the Two Brothers slip on.
The dealer sold me the slip on for $425.00 including freight which sounds like a pretty good deal.
I purchased the carbon fiber pipe so it would match the bike better. No chrome/polished look on my bike. I like the silver look.
Does anyone have any experience with this slip on?

Fitted the titanium slip on, very happy with it. suits the bike, sound is deep and complements the GTR. Good choice. No need to fit a power commander, much lighter and slight improvement in throttle reponse. Next step will be a PC111 & performance filter before taking it to the dyno.

Very nice. I like to change things one at a time and study the effects.
I have a power commander on my Suzuki M109R with a cobra exhuast and it works very well.
How are the roads in South Africa?

Hi Fred,
I got the same slip-on as you did. I like it alot. It went on easy, looks and sounds much better than the stocker (throaty, but not loud), and weights a ton less. I'm taking my bike in tomorrow for the initial oil change and check out (only 608 miles so far). I put the PCIII on it at the same time I put the muffler on, but until I got a few more miles on the bike, I'm limiting the RPMs per the break in procedures. So far, it feels pretty quick. Good luck with yours.

Regarding the Two Brothers Can ... No experience YET.
Mine (Ti version) will be here in a couple days along with a PC3 and a BMC air filter.
The flies will be coming out along with the CATS. ( I'm allergic to cats and flies are such a nuisance).
I will post the before and after dyno results ASAP.
Anybody using a PR-1 power tip sound suppressor?

Two Bros pipe is a great piece, sounds great as others said, and goes on very easily.
I really don't think you'll need the PR-1 tip, I was pondering ordering one with the pipe to try, but with the pipe as is, it's too good a note to change IMO.
Also pulled the secondary flies out and put on a PowerCommander3 last weekend, worked out well. http://www.fuelmotousa.com/ has a good tune for what I wanted, and will go ahead and set the unit up for you before he ships it, then it's just a simple matter of plug and play and then ride.
Have fun!

Interesting. Sounds like Fuel Moto already has a good map for the Two Bros. can.
I wonder how much CAT removal will enhance the flow regime? This is something I plan on doing next week. I suppose we shall see as I'll be doing a pre and post "dyno show".

I'm using the P1 suppressor, but I can't see where it would actually suppress much sound. It just reduces the I.D. of the exhaust outlet a small amount.

You're not supposed to "see" it...you're supposed to "hear" it!
Seriously though...have you installed it? If so I assume you can't hear any difference?
My dealer put 2 Bros can on a ZZR600. When they installed the tip the power on the bike jumped 1.5 hp. He said he's never seen that before. Usually the opposite happens. Apparently the ZZR needed a little back pressure.

I must have Decibal Myopia.... I just can't see making to much noise anymore.
Actually, I installed the suppressor prior to installing the whole muffler assembly on to the bike, so I never heard what it sounded like without it.

Agreed. I don't particularly care for anymore noise than needed. But I can put up with a little bit to get extra power.
BTW...just how loud is this Two Bros can? Comparing it to the stock muffler?

I didn't think the stocker sounded like a motorcycle. It was close to the same db level as my '05 G-Wing was. Real quiet. The 2 bros has a deeper note, more like a motorcycle should sound like, only not real loud. If you grab a big handful, Connie gets louder (but, don't they all ) Riding the bike, all you hear is wind noise once you're up to speed.

Hi CCFred, roads in SA are great, together with the weather we can ride most of year. Some great open roads and lots of passes. Cops are not to bad on the open road, lots of opportunities to blow all the carbon out. SA is bike crazy and most guys modify their bikes from new.

Frans, Post some pictures of the roads when you have the time. I wish we had good weather all year round, but the snow will start to fly soon here. The temperature was not bad today at 50F. My bike still has 50 miles on it, and the Two Brothers pipe has now arrived. I'll probably put it on this weekend while it snows.

All right. I had the chance to install my new TWO BROTHERS pipe on last night and it looks and sounds great. I'll post some more pictures this weekend.
This picture is without the bag.
And then with the bag.

That's PHAT Phred! Is it quiet?
Mine is scheduled to be here Monday. It's the Ti version. I also got a PR1 tip to play with.
We'll install the PC3...pull the flies and put it on the dyno Tuesday or Wednesday.

It's got a nice growl to it now. Not like my Cobra exhaust on my M109R, but a very nice sound. When you twist the throttle you know the bike is there. I originally installed the exhaust on to the slip on pipe and tried to install the whole thing, but the exhaust just got in the way. So I put the first part on successfully and then finished the job from there. It took about half an hour for the whole job. Pretty easy.
Let me know how the PR1 works out.

I put the whole thing together, but left the screws loose until everything was aligned. The hardest part for me was putting in the rubber bumper for the center stand. That took some liquid soap and a screw driver.

Wow, I did the same thing. Great minds think alike.
I tried to get the stop in without the soap, but it would not budge. The soap and wide screwdriver pushed the stop right into place.
No riding today. Raining with a chance of ice.

I installed a TBR Ti muffler yesterday and took it off today, it's just a little too loud for me. Anybody want a TBR with 5 miles on it? Could be a great deal for someone, PM me if interested.
