Smaller self made screen

I cut 50 mm off from original screen. In the photo there is the taller factory screen.

In the video I am driving with this smaller, cutted screen.

7 Mb DivX video gtr screen.avi

I think you can even hear the difference between screen up and down (speed only 80 kh/h).

When this smaller, cutted screen is up, it is about at same height than original in halfway up.

Next step: I cut 30 mm off.

Stay tuned....

TimoFin - good work. I particularly like the look of the shorter screen. Look forward to hearing how you and in particular your wife find it.

How did you go about cutting the screen down? I'm concerned it might crack.

Thanks-

our trip was quite short (temp 12 c, windy), but some 150 km anyway.
I enjoy this short screen. We drove almost the whole trip screen at the lowest position. That's where my wife wanted it to be. Me too.

I wonder when Kawasaki will offer also this shorter option for screen. Real SPORT-tourer screen.

PS. I tried also speeds up to 160 kmh. No problems, the feeling was quite like zzr1400.

PPS. The tool was ordinary jig saw. No cracks.
