Yeah me too , i looked in the hole with a lite and found a masive great hole !
I tightened it up with allen key as tight as i could as well but had to turn the Ram Mount about another 3 times before it was solid . Dont be scared to turn it 2/3 times , it feels good now and with GPS mounted there doesn't seem to me any movement while riding .
Cheers Holma ..

Zumo 550

I used the same compression mount, works a treat. Zumo connected to Starcom1 Digital which I mounted in the 'Glove' Box. All wires concealed where possible. Have fitted an additional 12v 'Marine' accessory socket to accept a Kenwood 3201 Battery adaptor. Just looking for a way to fix a mount for the radio preferably not on the bars or under the seat.

Does the software of “Zumo” display the exact location in Taiwan?

I think the precision is very good, most of times it gives an accuracy of within 5 meters. And as for the location, much depends on the quality of the map. In Taiwan these maps are extremely good, because Garmin Taiwan uses the military maps as the basis for all their GPS map software.

How is it working out for you ?

Thank you for the reply.

Because I might use it in Taiwan in the future・・・・・.

台湾在過去, 為實行防空演習而禁止車輛及行人通行。
而現在, 一般國民也可利用軍用地圖。
這令我感受到時代的變遷。 (Chinese)

I cant speak of things i dont know, sure someone will tell you the price of Zumo in US... But here in portugal, the 550 with everyting for your bike, cost 600€ (more € less €).

But i tell you one thing... It worth every Cent it cost.

Can't speak for our cousins Stateside but i have seen the 550 here in Canada for about $800 Canadian. Since our dolllar and the US greenback are the same value at the moment it relates. Generally speaking due to supply and demand, items such as this are less expensive in the US and much more plentiful at discounts.

Hey, Hopalong here. FYI on the Zumo 550 cost......I purchased mine from http://www.trusteddealer.com/product...oduct_id=12144 (trusteddealer.com) (also see pricegrabber.com) for $635 US. There may be a slight charge for insurance....if you want it. There are cheaper unit costs on some websites but on investigation thru the web some want to sell accessories together, with the Zumo, at outrageous prices. So beware. Good luck. Ride safe.
