Got an email from Becky at Corbin today, she said I could place my order now. She wanted to know what color I wanted, so I asked her what were the options. I'll keep ya posted.

Is this seat gonna be like the canyon dual sport you show on the website on the ZX14? I'm thinking of getting it in standard black with the seat panels done in the carbon look and the carbon panel on the backrest. Should go good with my carbon 2bros. Thx for the info.

Thats my Q, there was some talk about it being a two piece. If your asking about my color choices, they'll just use the different leather on the top section of the seat to give it some contrast.

On your link under specifications it say the seat height is 37.5 ". Is this a mistake?

Yes, that is the correct seat height!! That number seems inflated to me too,but R&D dept just verified 37.5 is CORRECT!

That is for the rider's seat? Ridiculous. This is the height of a motorcrosser's
Seat, and is 41/2 inches higher than the stock height. This must be the height at the highest portion of the passengers seat, otherwise you will only be selling this seat to people with inseams of 38" or above.
I just called Corbin, and they said the posted seat height is a mistake. I ordered one with a lowered seat and a nose job, which will make the reach to the ground easier.

Corrected Seat Height
Correct seat Height on the Corbin C-14 Front Seat is 31.25" inches. Not Sure where they got 37.5" inchs at!! Sounds like they measured the seat height while on the center stand!

Thats Corbin for you!!! Pretty good product I have one on my ZRX but........... usually customer service falls a bit short.
I guess its just me but I really dont care for the look. Rider section looks to be a bit long for a "average" size rider. I'm sure I'd be sitting way back to sit against the rear support. I'm sure they could adjust this but it would require a "ride in " fitting and thats not an option for most. I wonder why they had to do a 2 piece "touring" seat only? Why not a good old Gunfighter and Lady or a Canyon Dual Sport?
I may be headed toward the Kawi gel seat as a lower option and a metal rack and backrest from http://www.premiercycleaccessories.com/

I dont know guys, the corbin seat design looks like it belongs on a harley and not a sport touring bike. I thought I saw some other more streamlined corbin design early on that was being considered, perhaps it still is.
Does anyone know if Corbin (or someone else) is coming out with a more streamlined desiogn, simialr to the look of the original seat, and or redoes the original seat in leather?
Thanks

Yes, Corbin backrests are universal and will work in your new C-14 seat.

Corbin Guy-
The seat is, at the end of the day, UGLY and detracts from the look of the bike. What were you guys thinking?
What about a streamlined version, st some of the protoype pictures?

I bought this bike because it was a SPORT-touring bike. The seat as shown on the Corbin site would be more appropriate on a cruiser I think. However, as I was looking for a smuggler, I will reserve judgement until I see what that looks like.

Yes, This is a sport-TOURING bike. Corbin seats will not have the same shape as the stock unit. We try to make our seats as comfortable as possible without taking away the sport look. However, Weight distribution is critical to the comfort of a seat. The stock seat is not wide enough to distribute your body weight evenly. Hope this helps you understand why Corbin seats are shaped the way thet are.
