Autumn in the Blue Mountains...

A little ride today, stopped in a historic township, Hartley in front of the courthouse. A sunny and cloudless 20C day made it all the more nicer on the GTR

Short ride in the autumn sun.

Todays Autumn weather was more like the summer we missed out on... 28C, clear and sunny...
Had to work this morning, so at high noon I escaped into the Blue Mountains for a little fun loop, map

and stopped midway to enjoy the peace of the countryside...

Brilliant day, minimal traffic made it all the more enjoyable!!!

590km day trip

Woke up this morning to a clear and brisk day, geared up and headed south to Batemans Bay and up Clyde Mountain for the first time, what a fun ride that is!
Then homeward via Braidwood, Goulburn...
Just close to Goulburn I slowed from a brisk pace to take in the view, at that very moment a flying radar got me head-on, I was spot on 100kmh, how lucky was that

anyway, great fun, GTR has such secure handling it's so nice, on the sleepy freeway home I softened it right up and it became a real plush ride as well!
so nice

here's some happy snaps of the day...

7am:

lunchtime just out of Braidwood..

You have your PANNIERS on BACKWARDS !!!!

I've never seen that, silly design to be able to allow them to be fitted wrong, hope you don't have them come off, the lovely pics might get used against your warranty LOL

I like the modern lines on the bike with the old house behind!!!

Hello katamata.
Congratulations on your new motorcycle!

Though the 1400GTR (Malaysian model 2008) doesn't have the black・・・・・.

Many of Kawasaki’s import motorcycles sold in Japan are Malaysian models.
How much is the 1400GTR in Malaysia?

Those pictures intrigued me so much I had to go out and see how it could have been done. Still none the wiser because, although the bags will go on backwards you can't close and lock the handle. What baffled me was the handles in the pictures above seem to be locked down? How is that possible without snapping the catches off?

Red face Embarrased!!!

GTR Pete,
Thanks for pointing out.I got a friend to put the panniers back for me and I too did not realise that he had wrongly put them backwards until you pointed out the mistake.I put them back correctly but outta curiousity I put them backwards again and to my surprise the handles would still lock.

Breeze,
Malaysian price OTR = RM 105 k= around USD 33-34 k.

Glad to hear you sorted the pannier mounting Katamata, just so the thread continues in pics, I've included a collage of recent rides, also... I've removed the side-fairing parts to see how it looked, and as it's getting cooler downunder now... and I really like the cleaner look of it without them, heat hasn't been an issue anyway, so I'll leave them off for my upcoming 2000+km trip in May and see how my legs tan

Love my GTR
