Hello to all!

As the Title says, Hello from myself in sunny (at least at the moment) Wales in the UK, thought is was about time I joined and said thanks for the many informative posts that helped pass the time whilst I was awaiting delivery of the GTR.

The bike is now here, coming up to its first service shortly, so far the only niggles I have found will be sorted by sourcing another seat as I find the standard one a bit uncomfortable after an hour in the saddle, and as i'm a "big lad" I need a larger screen, will probably get a MRA vario as soon as they're available. Whilst i'm 6ft tall my legs are only 29", therefore I dont flat foot when at a stop, but have to say it feels ok to me, not had any wobbles as of yet (keeping fingers and everything else crossed).

Not sure whether anyone else has noticed that the throttle assembly seems a bit stiff, getting a bit of pain in the finger joints, maybe given time it will soften up, but will probably look at getting some form of cruise control sorted (prefer electronic as opposed to throttle locks).

All in all I'm very happy with it and consider the niggles above as mere "fitting issues" which are easily sorted.

Happy riding and sunny days to you all!

Hi Welcome to the forum,
I to live in Wales and have similar thoughts to yourself.
I will be looking to get the GEL seat when it's available and possibly a different shield. Would also love an electronic cruise control.

Safe Riding

seat

I find the seat very comfortable but am dissapointed in the poor quality of the covering as I have mentioned in a recent thread. Don't have any issues with the throttle but must admit although 5"11 the hieght is a bit worrying as I can't get my feet firm on the ground either.Overall though the bike is the best yet after recently owning an st1300 then the zzr1400 this is a big improvement for me. the screen I am still thinking about.

Hi All
well I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels the saddle is inferior to the rest of the bike and is uncomfortable after much more than 1.5 hrs. Having spent £11k on the bike its a bit insulting Kawasaki saying now give us more and you can have a proper seat! Besides that the bike is a joy. I've had my busa for 7 years and after 30k miles thought I'd give my neck and wrists a rest . My Airhawk seats will definately be going on for our forthcoming Spanish trip.
