noisey shaft

hi everyone, iv got a noise coming from the drive shaft casing or the shaft itself on my 2008 gtr1400. this is first shaft drive i'v ever had ,does anyone know if these are meant to silent or is it normal for a noise in the shaft. its not bad, im just a bit concerned. a few coments would be helpful thanks.

Quiet

Mines new with only 1600miles but its the second shaft drive bike iv had,they run quiet or should do,probably best go get the dealer to take a listen.

If it's anything like a car you're driveshaft being misaligned, i.e. not at the right angle due to wrong torque specs, could cause vibration and noise.

I found that mine was a little noisy when I first got it. This is my first bike with shaft drive too. I did find that after 6000ish kms that it was better. Once I went to Royal Purple it was even better.

I have an 08 with 40000 miles, normally you should not hear anything from the shaft. I am taking mine to the shop today as it started to make a noise from the front of the shaft where it attaches to the engine case. I definatley would not ride it untill you had it looked at, if it fails it could lock up your rear tire. Not fun.
