Oil Filter

Recently had a stone fly up and puncture my Oil Filter. Sump oil dumped under pressure on to the road then picked up by the rear tyre which caused bike to slide all over the place on cornering. Fortunately it happened on a country road with no other traffic otherwise things could have been a lot worse! Think I'll fit a custom chrome filter cover.

Damn, I bet that sucked. Glad to hear you didn't dump it. That's the first I've heard of anyone having any issues with rocks puncturing the filter.

That's amazing. The force of that stone to do that kind of damage. Good thing it didn't hit your leg, you'd be looking at spilled all over the road.

There is a guy on another forum that makes front fender extenders for a good price. Easy to install and a good fit. I have had mine on for 14000kms now and don't even have a chips or dents in the rad. I'll see if I can find the page for you.

Well he is on this forum too. Look for fender extender just a few posts down. I have a few pics of my bike with it on.
