Area P Full System Feedback

I have been looking at the Area P 4-2-1 Full Syatem (headers and muffler) with Flies removed, Power Commander V, with cuatom map by Fuel Moto as shown at their web site:
http://www.fuelmotousa.com/2008_kawa...0_concours.htm

I gave them a call and they said that the Area P was quieter than the Muzzys or Two Brothers (big sound wears thin on long trips). The performance gain appers dramatic from about 6,000 RPM.

Has anyone tried this system? Would appreciate any feedback on performance gain, and if the sound is OK for big miles. Also, if one just removes the flies, does anyone know how the performance gain compares? Thanks.

The only problem that I find with all the systems out there is that all the gains are up top. I use my bike for touring. Don't get me wrong I like to have fun on the bike and do wind it out when I can, but what I would like to see is bigger gains from 6 grand and below. A nice bump in torque down low would be great. Although this system seems to do that well. I would like to see what the exhaust system alone would get.

Have the system on mine and love it. Have to block off the PAIR Valve. Tube coming from the bottom of airbox on right side under fairing. This stops the decell pop. Dont block off the tube on the left side, thats the Crankcase vent.

It is a bit loud, but if your puting on a full system I would assume you dont mind loud.

I had a dyno run done for a baseline of completely stock and it came in at 134.27 hp on a 4th gear roll on and all the way through the gears peak hp at 138.71. With the full AreaP system, flies out, BMC filter and PC-V preloaded with Jamies map, I get 146.83 4th gear roll on, and 149.87 peak. I think if tuned for Atlanta, I could squeeze another 2-5 hp.

I am very happy with the system, it sounds a lot better, but not obnoxious. I barely feel the heat with those cats gone, and the bottom end torque is much better with the flies removed. My increase in hp was evident pretty much from roll on to WOT, although the greatest increase was definitely top end. Free up 8-10% hp for $1100 (at or under $100/hp)? Yep, worth it to me.
