Anyone has the new BIG TOP CASE?

Hi

I just bought the GTR 1400 with no top-case. I'm waitting for the new (at least in Portugal) BIG TOP CASE. It arrives in the end of Jully.

Anyone has this one:

I never saw one like this in this forum. More information in the Kawaki PT site http://www.kawasaki.pt/product.asp?Id=340E4DCABBC&Sub=5

Thank you,

I went with the GIVI E52G730 in silver and love it. I leave it on most all of the time.
My Farkel Log

Today I am considering adding some additional leds to the Givi.

Does GIVI make that for KHI? It wouldn't be the first time factory Kaw luggage came from there.

I don't know who fabrics the top-case. MIght be GIVI or other manufactor.

The most important for me is that the KAWASAKI BIG TOP CASE has 47 liters, with the possibility to keep 2 full helmets. Also, it looks more adapted to the bike than others.

Fatirossi, can you place here some photos when you get this new Kawasaki top-case? I want to see how it looks on the bike and also details of the base.

Meanwhile, I received one e-mail from Kawasaki about this subjet.

We have to order 3 P/N. Here are the part numbers and prices (in Portugal)

KAWASAKI 47 LITER TOP CASE (WITH BASE)
P/N: 232LUU0020
Available: end of July 2009
Price: € 120,35 + VAT

47 L TOP CASE COVER
P/N: 131LUU0014 Grey 25X
P/N: 131LUU0015 Blue 19A
P/N: 131LUU0016 Black 17K
Available: end of July 2009
PRICE: € 87,15+ VAT

47 TOP CASE BACK REST
P/N: 130SBC0003
Available: end of July 2009
Price: € 29,17+ VAT

Thank you in advance.

**Update**

Large top box will not be available until mid August

Going to put my old 52L Kappa box on for the time being.

The Kawa box is a Givi E470 box. An insert can be bought to colour match (i.e. the Kawasaki one)
It loses the reflector but gains the 'fins' to match the panniers.

It can't be exactly the same as GIVI E470, because the support is the same as in the Kawasaki 39L top-case and not the ugly GIVI support... I think...

Hi

Just like to say to you that I've received the Kawasaki new 47L top-case last week. It looks very nice, with a lock much better that standard GIVI cases, with the Kawasaki support.

It seems that Kawasaki is getting into a new era in Portugal. In May they told me that the top case will be available just in the end of Jully. And it WAS!!!

Fantastic.

Yes, Cherokee, it's exactly the same.

You have to order de top-case, the cover (3 colors) and the back rest.

It fits wonderful to the bike and my wife says it is very confortable. It can be easily adjusted forward or back, to better adapt to the pillion.

regards,
