My bike is 1 year old (I bought on april 28th 2008) and now it has 40.000 km
Only 3 oil change (12.000 - 24.000 - 36.000), 4 tires change (ever BT021E), no problems and no accident
Before I had a BMW R1200RT (3 years 100.000 km), good bike, but very expensive for the maintenance.....
Now I never change GTR .... or not, I don't know , but I like it cause it's so funny, fast, comfortable, what can I tell again?

40,000km..have you not changed air filter,plugs, or had valve check yet?

mine turned a year old this past month too
I've only got 15,ooo miles (15000 mi. = 24140.16 km)
changed oil at 600, 2500, 6000, 10000, and 14000 miles
tires were swapped over to Perelli Diablo (Streets) at 10,000 miles
(air filter looks good, will get my new one on when I install the PCiii,
plugs looked almost new, havn't checked the valves yet)
.... or not, I don't know 
, but I like it cause it's so funny, fast, comfortable, what can I tell again?
