Great stuff, Beans!
You couldn't get any closer to the GTR without taking it apart...

That was all they had at the show.
I did get to sit on it. It feels vastly better than an FJR, but better yet I'd love to ride one!! I am only 5' 10" but the GTR/Concours is definitely going to be good for riders much taller than me.

I'm 6'1", so that works for me!
BTW - Added another bike to the stable this weekend. The wife picked out her destination bike - an '06 Kawasaki Mean Streak which we picked up Friday night.
Now hers is bigger than mine - 1600 cc's of performance cruiser power!

Well here's the first pic off the civic.
I'm convinced that the black gtr would look great next to it on the driveway.
Unfortunatly the pics i took from the black GTR on the motornews weren't much of a succes. The were displayed in a corner against a wall. Not much of an contribution.

A hybrid will set you back a cool € 24.500,-- or $ 32.500,-- excl the options.
That is with an extra low tax because of the environment.
We pay around 50% tax on a car and fuel costs $ 7,-- per gallon.

Everything is so much more expensive in Netherlands. Are you guys making a lot more than we do here in the US? :-)
What are some typical salaries in Netherlands, let's say, a hardware or software engineers? (At least that are the fields I know)

Thx :)
I'm currently without a proper bike (the XJ is for commuting) and am eagerly awaiting the GTR ;)

Here's a list i picked from the site but a lot of functions can be translated by using a bit of imagination for instance hoofd means head.
http://www.elsevier.nl/survey/onderz...208/index.html
An director IT makes in average € 76.500
Senior advisor IT €72.500
programmer € 44.000
Hardware specialist € 41.500
a carpentar € 28.500
etc etc. As you can see our welfare state means we don't earn big bucks but do have to pay a lot of taxes.
Income tax:
> 50000 52%
> 30000 42%
> 0 32%
just an indication

As a programmer I can say the programmer salary is about right...

What was differance in egos compared to the FJR? I rode a '05 FJR for a weekend and was hooked on the sport touring class.
