beowulf exhaust pics

Fitted this yesterday.

Road legal and sounds fantastic and fairly light and I think it looks great.

Life time warranty.

Fairly good quality but slightly low rent compared to say Akrapovic but half the cost £155

Fitting was a bit of hassle to get the link pipe, center stand lug and silencer in the right place.

Also all the pushing and shoving loosened the header bolts, so the fairing had to come off and the nuts tightened

I couldn't believe the weight of the stock system when I took it off, also how ugly? Having owned the bike only 2 weeks it just had to go.

What the F***k were Kawasaki thinking when they designed that.

One of their ship designers from their heavey industry branch must have had free-rein with his pen "Yes Kawasaki-san that canoe fitted on the side will look just awsome, build it!!"

I generally leave my bikes in standard trip adding only essential items like luggage, satvav, autocom etc...............but that can HAD to go. I felt people were pointing and laughing as I rode by. I now know what John Merrick went through!!!

Very nice mate!
Does it have a removable baffle?

Cheers equinox

The baffles sure are removeable. I have tried it without and it doesn't really make much difference, plus I'd be concearned about it running lean, Beowulf state that a p.c. is not required with baffles in (I'm not entirely convinced)

You wouldn't be able to sell any snow here, because it's been asshole deep on a tall injun here for a week. Actually it's been melting for the last couple of days and is supposed to hit 60 deg. F tomorrow. I'm goin' ridin'!

Beowulf Exhaust

The Beowulf exhaust looks really good on your bike. It has a more conservative (less racy) look than other cans. How is the sound? I prefer a mellow deep sound as opposed to a racy bark.
I also liked their stainless steel radiator screen
I emailed the company to see if they have a US distributor

The can looks Great!

Do you know if you will have to put the stock one back on for its MOT test when it is 3 years old?

I ask because the original has a catalytic converter in it (probably most of the weight) and I wonder if the bike has to pass some type of emissions test within the MOT.

I have never had a modern bike for 3 years but my GTR is 18 month old and I doubt I will have replaced it at 3 years.

I had a Beowulf carbon can put on by the dealer when they assembled my new bike last October.
I asked the same question ( also Re:warranty etc ), and was told that the cat' wasn't in the can itself but within the 'collector' box underneath the bike.
Anyone else heard this?

Love the pipe. Can you tell me if thats a 380mm or 450mm. Looking to put the same on my gtr. Am i also right in saying the bike doesnt need remapped if the baffle stays in?

cheers itchydogs.

The can is the 450mm.

The makers recon that with baffles in it won't need a remap! without a dyno I'm not convinced, however it runs just fine, sounds great, not 2 loud and more importantly looks gr8, weighs much less than the stocker 2

cheers
