vibration and start-up rattle-continued

I have reviewed the previous threads on these topics and they seem to end without really coming to a conclusion. I have over 10,000 miles on the C-14 and like the bike. I have two issues that continue to drag. One, my right mirror gets very blurry from vibration around 60-70mph in high gear. The left mirror is dead smooth. I have not tried to adjust the balencers as of yet. The second issue is the start up rattle. Has anyone looked further into this. We have mentioned it in the past, but the issue has not resurfaced on the forum. Mine seems to be getting louder and lasting a little longer now that I'm getting more miles on it. I have tried different oils and it really doesn't seem to matter. Seems to come from the upper engine.

The start up rattle is the VVT. When cold the oil drains from the oil cavity that activates the cam position. They all do it. Some oils seem to be a little better than others. But every car that has VVT also does it on start up. The difference is you are not "sitting on the engine" when you start your car.

The start up rattle is really no worries.
As to vibration, my bike is very smooth at all speed. And my mirrors never buzz. That said I have had a throttle mister installed since new, and it is possible they are a different weight than stock. I would forgo "adjusting the balancers as that is only a "lash" setting not a "timing/balance" issue.
You might wish to have the throttle bodies balanced. I would think that will make a greater difference in vibration!!

FBRR--Thanks for your reply. I was just wondering if the noise had been resolved and you are probably right about the VVT. Though I find the noise at start-up annoying, I can live with it if it's normal and not hurting anything. I can forgo the Lash of the balancers. The gears a quiet and probably do not need adjusting. I have not had any service on the throttle bodies, nor have I checked them to see if they are out or not. That would be a good starting point. It's probably hard for most people who own these bikes to believe that they can vibrate, but mine does so quite a bit. I must admit I do not remember it blurring the mirrors when I bought it so the bodies may need to by re-synked.
