Happy Birthday Concours14!
I just wanted to wish all you "early" Concours14 buyers...
Happy Birthday to your Connie!
JohnnyB, Propeller, Scooter, NightRider, Nate Swenson... slightly belated wishes to you!
Today is one year for me... 18,000 miles and the best bike I've ever owned.
I wish you all many more years and miles.
You others comming up.. .don't forget to take your bike out for a Birthday ride!!!
I hope you all enjoy your bikes as much as I do mine........ I'm still all smiles every time I get on it... And mine still screams to be ridden all the time!
See you on the road,
Jerry

Happy Birthday Connie
Hey Jerry,
Would you believe I missed it !! I'm out in San Diego doing some Army stuff and the mistress has been sitting idle for a month. She's gonna get a detailing and a good romping next week though. Cheers to all on her first birthday.
Darren

I took Vivian out for a damned good thrashing on the 7th Aug for her first birthday. She responded with her usual aplomb as I chucked her at corners and wrung her neck in the straights.
Damned fine bike!

Well mine is one year old today and I have still not come up with a name for her.. I am sure I will..
As a first birthday prezzie I got her an extra two years waranty for the very reasonable price of £210, so she is now covered till Aug 2011
By then the new 1500 GTR will be out with push button "flys out" and optional turbo .. 200 bhp and good road manners.. I can't wait.. lol..
Stu..

You'll probably wait a LOT longer than that.
The delay between the introductions of the GTR1000 and the 1400GTR was 22 years.

Hi all,
No name for our Connie as of yet either, but Michelle refers to it as my mistress. Awesome bike and if I could have only one motorcycle in the garage, it would be the C-14. My first moto-camping trip is coming up at the end of the month down to the Columbia River Basin for a 4-day sport touring moto ralley. Should be a great time with riding clinics, GPS and packing light seminars, 200 mile poker run and a 500 mile rump roast ride.
Ride safe, ride often. Greg

In 9 days (8/30), it'll be one year for me too. I'll have over 20Kmiles by then. Actually, in the US, that's labor day weekend, I have a 900 mile trip planned up to MN, so it'll have near 21K on the 31st :)

Thanks JamminJere for your good wishes,
Unfortunately by the time I read it, my beloved that turned 1 year old on June 24 with over 24 000 km, and I decided to go our separate ways after she threw me on a high side where I broke my right hand. Thanks to ATGATT, I only needed a month to find her identical twin sister as well as the strength in my hand to start all over again. The insurance money had me peeking at other nice babes but in the end she is the only one that does it for me. Be it flat out at 270 km/h, taking it easy cruising to get 45 mpg or comfortably doing a 1 000 km day two up, she does it all.
The road is calling...see you there!

I too had the misfortune of an unmarked corner, low side that flipped, just as we were sliding to a stop, destroying the other side.
Great insurance allowed me to pick up a new unit Saturday on my one year anniversary. Its ready for its 600 mile service already, great day of riding yesterday.
All the small defects had been addressed, and this one gets better fuel economy also. Swap some accessories, ordered a few that couldn't be salvaged.
Briefly considered a Sprint ST, but in the end, nothing compared!!!!!
