Tyre pressure indicator Kaput :-(

My tyre pressure indicator has gone Kaput. I ride with it on all the time. In the morning it was OK, in the PM all I get are dashes on both F +R . The bike has done 3600 miles and is 6 months old. I guess it's warranty job. Anyone else any experience? Thanks as always.

My rear monitor was non-functioning when I bought it. According to my dealer, it's under warranty. (the standard warranty, I believe, is 12 months, 12K miles)

The dealer has warned me that it's like a 3+ hour job to remove the wheel, remove the tire, remove the sensor, connect the bikes computer to the service computer, attempt to re-register the code from the monitor, and if that fails, install a new one.

It also appears that some non-Kawasaki dealers are damaging the sensor when changing tires because they don't know about it.

Finally, one of my key fobs bit the dust the other night. Finished installing the Audiovox CC, took it out for a test ride, left the fob in the garage for about an hour, and PRESTO- it stopped working.

Oh well, it's all going to the dealer this Saturday for work anyhow.

Hi Den,
Chances are it just got it's knickers (software) in a twist.
Shut the bike down and leave it for 15 minutes (reboot).
Then take it out for a spin.
They should both come back.
I've had this happen when I was toggling through the menus one day.
If both died at the same time then it's either that or else the receiver has died (not likely).

Bought a brand new GTR1400 last saturday.... only the front tyre PSI sensor works - and that only started working after 300 miles...dealer said they've had considerable issues with the sensors... it's getting booked in to be sorted... this bike's too expensive not to have everything working 100%.

Additionally... are they supposed to work when the vehicle's stationary?

Bandit.

any time you turn the key off it re-sets tps to zero. they should start to read after you've started riding. mine are usually reading after about the first 50 feet
