Engine Oil Foam

Recently purchased a new GTR. I've noticed white foam on the engine oil, is this normal during the run-in phase or should I be concerned?

it probably was filled up with car oil... I did it once on my 636 and after some hard riding, there was creamy foam on the little plastic bottle for the oil blowby. I read somewhere that car oil foams on bike due to loss of viscosity. I wouldn't be too concerned, just do your own oil change with the proper oil for your bike.

This is water condensing out of the cylinders. It is caused by the combustion process. Just look up at a jet plane and you'll see all kinds of condensed water caused by combustion. It happens with all motors. You need to quit making short runs to the grocery store and really get the motor warm on a long ride so it will evaporate out.

Edit: This is exactly why you do not want to run the engine in your garage during winter storage. You will never get it hot enough to evaporate the water out, so the moisture will be sitting there for months until you finally get to ride.
