Knee protectors

Hi all.Just got my gtr at the weekend in diablo black. What a beautiful bike! I absolutely love it and so does the wife. But to preserve its good looks i was just wondering if anyone else has had a problem with your trousers rubbing on the area where your knees are positioned under the tank. Is there anything out there that will protect this area?

Knee Protectors

There are a number of products on the market that perform this task. If you click on search and insert tank protectors you will find some. Kawasaki themselves produce some but I have found they do not cover the area my knees touch.

hi and welcome to the site i had the same probs so i went down to my local grafix shop with a template and they cut me some clear external vinyl (gloss) and i does the trick perfect the vinyl will rub the same as the paint work over time but you can change the vinyl every so often saving you an expensive paint job they charged me £8 for both sides

it is the same stuff that they make the full paint protection kit out of but in a small sheet so you cut what you need. Ideal for the knee areas.

I bought a kit from Holland about £50 which was on ebay. He's not advertsisng any more. The most comprehensive kit ever. Even covers pannier tops inclcuding fairing and mudguard fropnt tank sides rear etc.. Takes a couple of hours to fit. Wish I could find link again.
