Hi Dougie and welcome to the forum. Not heard anything about that on either forum. The service manual gives these faults if the warning light comes on. So it is not just the oil level but could be a number of reasons why the light comes on. If it is during braking then it could be relief valve or wiring fault. Check the multiplug in the rear of the meter console. Good luck and do let us know what the outcome was.

Engine oil pump damaged
Engine oil screen clogged
Engine oil filter clogged
Engine oil level too low
Engine oil viscosity too low
Camshaft bearing worn
Crankshaft bearing worn
Oil pressure switch damaged
Wiring faulty
Relief valve stuck open
O-ring at the oil passage in the crankcase
damaged

Yo Dougie,
Sounds like it's probably just a loose wire/conector on the oil pressure sensor.
I had this on one of my GTR1000's and replacing the wire fixed it.
Next time ya speak to the dealer suggest the wire or connector.
They are probably replacing sensors and electronics and stuff. <LOL>

Oh, and welcome to GTR-ness.
What did ya ride before the GTR?

On my C10 it was the idle set too low. Dont know about the beast though.

Have been in contack with dealer today, they have fitted a new sender unit but have not fixed the problem.Dealer said technician thinks it might be a fault with the bikes electrics I doubt this myself, because if point the bike downhill with the engine at idle without brakes on the light comes on or if bike lent to left or right light comes on.this suggests to me that the oil pickup is at fault. Will keep you posted. PS my prevous bike was 1250 bandit and before that zx12 the zx I had for 5years
