I have a set of Michelin Pilot Road 2ct's on order. Only have 5K miles on the 021's and they are about gone. Hope the new tires will go twice as far at the price they are charging!

If Michelin don't recommend any of their tyres, which of their tyres will you be buying?

What kind of company would recommend that you NOT buy their tires? Doesn't exactly instill confidence.

I've just had a set of Michelin PR 2CT's fitted last week, only have a 1000km+ up since and I can say they feel initially much lighter, seem to handle quite well and grip is excellent under ABS performance, I had to slam the brakes on yesterday as things got too crowded in a traffic situation, I was quite surprised with the result

personally I run the Pirreli Diablo on my ZX14 because I wanted a 200 tire and the michelin didn't come any wider than 190, but had I gone with michelin I was looking at the Pilot Sport HPX they are specificly designed for the larger high speed bikes like the 14, busa, cbr1100xx and zx12r.

Here is a link to the site and page at michelin for the Pilot Sport HPX

Hey guys, what are your thoughts on the Avon Azaro tires as compared to the Micheline PR 2CT?

I ran Avon's on my FJ1200 and was really not impressed with the grip. Breakin loose on down shifts that weren't really that hard and even though it was fun when I got used to them I could slide out the rear on a turn under acceleration almost at will at slower speeds, looked cool but didn't inspire the confidence I wanted in a higher speed turn. I would go Mich if that means a hill of beans

Thanks BlueBomber, I found a deal on Mich Pilot Road 2s $285. I figured at that price and the great reviews I have heard I should try a set.

Where? The best I could find was $329 to the door from Sport Bike Track Gear. Not many places carry them, yet. I'll be mounting them this week. Only got 6K out of the 021's!

e-bay special, a dealer in Florida had about 10 sets and wanted to move them. I was skeptical but he proved to be the real deal. I paid for the auction about 10:30am and they were shipped at 2:30ish!
