Hello everyone. I just joined today thought I would say hi. I see some familiar names here too. To those of you who don't know me I tell you a little about myself.
I've pretty much been a life long Kawasaki guy. Of the 16 or 17 bikes I've had over the last 25 years I've owned 2 hondas, 1 suzuki, and 1 Yamaha, the rest were all Kawasaki's
Currently all I have in the garage is my trusty '82 GPz-550, gutless but still fun in the twisties. Recent bikes I've owned are a '01 ZX-12, '00 R-6, '98 ZX-9.
My background is in industrial controls software and hardware design and my current hobby/project is hacking a ZX-12 ECU. You can check that out here:
http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?forumID=99460
Some of you bikelanders may know that I started this project on a thread overthere, but I will no longer be posting there. I left a farewell message explaining my reasons but it was erased and so was my user by the admin.
But as they say He who laughs last laughs loudest.
Apparently Fish is not as smart as he thinks he is. (is that you AntFishlers?)
http://www.bikeland.org/board/viewth...7&pagenumber=1
He can keep me from posting new messages or editing existing messages that let people know where and why I moved the project but apparently he is ignorant of the fact that all my existing threads are full of links to images on my server. While I can't change the links in the posts I can change the objects they point to and thereby display any message I want in any of my old threads.

Welcome ex b'land peeps.
I was on there a while back but too much bs for my liking. Biking is most people's escape from the bull in life, I do not see the point of putting up with it on bland or any other forum. Then management there did their character assasination of Beans & I have not been back except for the odd look if a link comes up somewhere.
Anyway it's far more mellow here, Beans keeps the Kawasaki news & pix coming & there are very few trolls which is very cool.

Howdy
Nice to made it to the forums. Rejoining the green team after a few years with the Dark Side.
We're wrenching this Winter on a 636 project. If thiigs go according to plan. By Feburary it should be roadworthy.
Also a Busa rider, it autta be fun menacing the Zx12 & Zx14r Ppl.
Very useful knowledge on the forum. Already googled directed here, about mechanical inquires on dampers and oil filters.

Welcome aboard Billy.
Gawd, that bike is going to look so much "sicker" with that targa seat on it.
Make sure you post pics once you get it.

Old Dog..Old bike
Just joined today..have been tinkering and riding bikes for 41 yrs now..had too many to list. Bought my 92 zx11 new..took out a loan on her and one week later got into a car accident in my elcamino..broke my neck in two places..insurance on the bike loan paid it off..so I only paid 279 bucks for it. Couldn't ride it for 3 yrs..but could tinker on her..muzzy titanium pipe..41 smooth bores..steel braided lines..steering dampner..made a locking center stand..radar bracket ...six pack rack for luggage and a bunch of other little stuff...finally put on around 55k..then got a divorce and a bunch of debt from the wife..moved way way up north into the snow belt..bike sat in storage for about 7 yrs and now I've torn it completely apart and am starting a rebuild and refit..I will post pics as the progress continues...John
