The 12 is a 2000. I liked the color on my ZX9 so much I had to paint the 12 the same color. It only had about 700 miles in that pic. I had a local company make the lettering for me.
Those are the nicest 2 dogs you will ever meet. They even like the mailman. Boxers are the best.

From one ZRXer to another...Welcome you HOOLIGAN!!! Although, I'm not sure how much longer I'll be keeping my ZRX. The lure of the ZX-14 is calling...as is the Ninja 650R...

Biking
Been biking since I was 15 (off road with old moped)
First road bike at 16 with a fair assortment of bikes for 20 years ending with a couple of big Kawasaki's :grin
Mortgage & other interests took me away from bikes for 13 years, then a need for cheap practical transport gave a good excuse to get a new GPZ500S in '03. Bought a GPZ1100S in late '04 for 2 up but not had a chance to ride much.
A forthcoming change in career soon should change that & allow me to have more life outside work :cool
Always done my own maintenance except when bike's new & in warranty but from the standard of servicing on the 500 will stick with DIY unless I find a REALLY good bike shop.
Did a season of club racing mostly on the thing in my avatar in '81. Great experience most of the time & learnt a lot about handling bikes near my limit of control & a quite few times beyond those limits (ouch!!!)
Bikes in chronological order:
'59 Excelsior Skutabike with Villiers 98, '64 Honda 90 (bike not C), '63 Royal Enfield 250 Continental, '62 Norton ES2 (later upgraded to Dominator 99), RE 350 Bullet, '75 Suzuki T500 (1st new bike), '78 Yamaha XS750, '79 GS1000S, Honda 500-4, Suze T500, Suze GT500 racer, Seeley Suze T(R)500, Yam DT 250, Suze GN400, '83 Laverda Jota 180, '84 Z1100R, '88 GPZ1000RX, Current '03 GPZ500S & '95 GPZ1100S.
Would like a ZX-10R or ZZR1400.

Thanks for the welcome, looks a friendly site & with the focus on the right make even including twins
I can safely say I never owned a bike I did not enjoy riding, even the smaller bikes, yes even the Excelsior . Been lucky always living near interesting twisty roads which adds to the fun :wink
Anyway look forward to participating here.

Hiya, I figured I would join up. I'm a relatively new street rider , I've been on the street since '04.
Got my '99 ZX9r in May of last year and its been a joy. Still need to learn how to wrench and pretty much all the maintenance on her.
I know little to none about the mechanics of bikes, so I will just try to sit back and learn.:)
Oh, yea, heres my baby.
