All right
All right, I just posted a thread down below, before I saw this posted up here, sorry about that.
My name is Mike, I'm from a beautiful town in Kansas, but currently living in Naples, Italy, and will be for two years. I grew up on bikes, my first bike was a little 49cc some off brand, can't remember the brand dirt bike, grew up on dirt, my dad got me into it all, went to a '97 honda 90, uh then, KL 250, from there, I was hooked on Kawai, my brother, who's ten years older than me, he always road kaws, and rebuilt a couple engines..I finally moved off the dirt and onto the street the second I could afford my bike, a new bike, finally, cherish it like none other, I can finally ride with my dad and brother, and everybody else, of course now I'm stationed in Italy, but hey, that doesn't mean when I get home, they won't have bikes, and I won't have mine. I appreciate any help whatsoever. Don't know how to put in pics, except my avatar there.
Only ones I have uploaded on this computer unfortunately, rest are on my desktop.

I ride the black sunshine roads of South Florida.
Not many hills or curves, but alot of good long straights for high speed runs.[IMG]IMG]http://i677.photobucket[/IMG]

First thing, calm down. Go back through the wiring and look at the fuses also. Is the starter froze maybe? Rock it back and forth in gear. Just count to ten and take some deep breaths and when you look back over it the solution may just jump out at you.

hi kwak owners, just signed up to your forum.
quick question..... has anyone fitted an active quick action throttle to a zx6r 2007 model, did it make any difference, was it worth the money.

Hi Everyone,
I'm going into my second season of riding this year, started last year on an 87 EX500 that I picked up cheap after my MSF course and was pretty much on it non stop until it was too cold. I'm from the Great White North (Canada), Edmonton Alberta to be more specific. I just bought a 2009 ZX-6R and I can't wait for riding season to get into full swing! Only the brave (or stupid) head out right now around here, too much sand and gravel left on the road from winter.
Thanks, and safe riding!

I'm taking motorcycle training class this May to instill confidence and keep insurance low, so once that is complete I plan on buying an 04 zx6r from my uncles good friend. oohh yeah and pics to follow lol

I've been riding kawi's for about 4 years, but unfortunately started out on a '92 gs500e. then upgraded to my '96 zx6e. traded that up and now i have an '06 zx6r. those extra 36cc's? yeah, i guess they help in the mid range. i'll get pics soon. it looks stock minus the 520 kit and frame sliders.
-cheers.

Hi all,
New to this forum; the name's Frosty and I reside in Alabama. I'm sort of a hobbyist, having worked on and rebuilt several old GS-series Suzuki's. I currently ride a GS1100E ('82). For kicks, I wanted to see what whether I'd enjoy riding a bike that's a little "sportier" and lighter in build.
I've just received the opportunity to pick up an '88 ZX600.
The "Ninja" series is new to me and I'm asking for your advice on what to look for on this bike. Supposedly, it has NO mechanical issues whatsoever, and was just gone through by a Kawasaki dealer 3 months ago. I am not too concerned about the mechanical side of it and feel confident that I can pretty much do anything necessary (barring a major engine rebuild) to this bike considering my experience with the GS's.
What I can currently tell you is that cosmetically, it is almost like new. This was kind of important to me because I have no idea what the accessibility of parts for this model is like. If it's anything like my old Suzuki's, mechanical parts are still easy to obtain, but gas tanks, fairings, etc are becoming rarer by the minute. I believe the bike is stock with the exception of the exhaust. It has a 4-1 system on it.
Questions I have are:
1) What parts from other years are interchangeable with the '88 model?
2) Any inherent flaws with this model that I should be on the lookout for? Any quirks?
3) Any other advice which might be useful?
I am supposed to pick this bike up on Saturday. Any info you all can give me would be highly appreciated.
Bike in question is:
For kicks, my other bikes:

1989 Kawasaki ZX600 Questions
Hey everyone first time posting anything online hope this works lol. I'm currently debating about buying a 1989 ZX 600 for $600 dollars and I'm wondering if I'll be able to still get parts for a bike that old. It also has a problem of losing power at around 40 -50 mph so I don't know what thats about and it has 26,000 miles. Any suggestions on what I should do? Not shure if thats too many miles for a bike that old.

Hey all...new member here. I've been a member of Kawiforums, ZX-10R.net, and Ninjaboards.com for a while now, and I figured I needed to add this one as well. I've been a licensed rider for 22 years and rode dirt bikes for years before that. I do all of my own service work, mods, suspension work, etc. so there's a chance I might be useful from time to time. I currently own an 04 ZX6RR and an 04 ZX10R. The RR is a fully loaded track bike that still serves street duty from time to time. The 10R is a new project that I picked up about a year and a half ago.
Here are a couple pic's of the RR in track form:
One in street form:
And one of both bikes when the 10R was stock:

Hello, bought a '86 Ninja 600 during the winter and hope to have it on the road by the end of may. This is my first sport bike...used to ride a chopped '67 Triumph, so this should be a interesting learning experience in riding style.

Hi
Another newbie to the forum. From Northern Ireland, riding for approx 26yrs, had quite a few bikes in my time, can’t remember them all as the memory has been clouded by years of : abuse. Interests include pure road racing (Isle of Man TT etc) I have a 98 zx7r owned for the last 10 years with a full Hindle race system jetted to suit and a 98 Triumph tiger 900 (steamer) both are used on daily basis.
