Hello all! New guy to the forum, ive been riding for over 15 yrs,and just picked up an 08 ZX10R in January 09.. Watched them pull her out of the crate!
This is my second Kawasaki, my last was 91 gpz1000. Since then I have ridden a Yamaha (may she rest in peace) and mostly Ducati's.
This looks to be a cool place to hang out, just wanted to say hello..

Hey everybody,
My name is Rich and I just signed my name on a new (leftover) Silver 08 ZX-14. Have not taken delivery until I can have the wheels powder coated black.
Accessories to go with the bike....I also purchased a new Brocks Gen 3 Short Titanium exhaust system, New Shoei X-11 Kiyonari TC-5 (Black w/ silver Dragon) frame sliders, PCIII-USB, Double bubble windscreen. As soon as I get the bike I will add pics......
I also have a 1999 ZRX-1100 slightly modded with big bore kit, full Muzzy Titanium exhaust and more....
I am systems engineer located in upstate NY (Saratoga area). Constantly having BBQs, bonfires, beer and riding....

I finally got another crotch rocket, its been about 10 yrs been racing motorcross. I am having difficulty in getting the bike to wheelie i am no rookie by no means. I can get it up in first but hard to shift into second. any suggestions in getting it up in second gear. I have tried clutching it bouncing it up with little succes. I just went down on the front sprocket from a 16 tooth to a 15 tooth which is equal to going up approx 3 in the rear.
I am open for suggestions !!!!!!
thanks your comments will be appreciated except for the obvious smart A$$ ones .
LOL
oh how to you place a picture on here ??

I used to race motocross too...years ago....it's 10 times easier to wheelie a nice KX250 than a ZX7. Your talkin 1/3 the weight...anyway without giving you a step by step here....check this out on youtube ...

Hey guys and girls,
I am new to this forum and I thought I would follow protocol and introduce myself properly. As you can see that I go by the name of Quagmire and I hail from Iron Mountain, Michigan. I usually frequented anther forum but it has become increasingly stagnant, so I figured I would come on board here. I have always been a Honda guy, but I don't really care for the direction that they are going and was considering on switching to Team Green. I am 41 years old and a sportbike fan. I currently own a '02 CBR 600 F4i. I have attended several trackdays both at Road America and the Autobahn Country Club. I do not like HD's and the whole costume party affiliated with it. I am an open minded guy and like to debate issues but I don't demean others for holding an opposing veiwpoint.
Look forward to being a member here.

Cheers
It's been a few years since I had a motorcycle but now the kids are gone and I can let 'er rip. Picked up a '99 ZX6R in a really dark purple. Got some older leathers for cheap from a buddy. They're white with purple and Kawi green trim. Perfect!
Picked up the bike on a very cold -30C evening and took it to a buddy's shop. After it warmed a bit we fired it up and it wouldn't rev. My buddy says "the primaries are plugged". So we pull the carbs off. A few nights later I, with the assistance of my very knowledgeable friend, cleaned them thoroughly. They were plugged real bad. So we plan on replacing all the fluids. We'll do the fork seals. It needs some new tires. So much work to do. It's a very easy bike to work on.
Anyway it has some extra bits. Yoshimura pipe. Fender eliminator, flush mount turn signals. K&N.
Can't wait to ride it.

Hi all,
I like Ice Cream, puppy dogs, long walks on the beach....Wait, wrong forum...ahem.... :D
I am a Kawi guy, live in Florida, not a big fan of narcissistic destructive stunters who did not get enough attention from Mom when they were kids. Other than that I respect responsible riding and mature decisions on a bike or in life.

Welcome to the forum Nigel.
Tires? have you considered the Road Pilots CTII, seem to get good mileage out of them , good grip for the weather conditions, I guess you get some rain where your located mate.

whats up people my name is Ryan and I ride a Yellow 08 zx6r. It is my 3rd ninja and i have no complaints about team green. My first zx6r was totaled with 136 miles on it when an ex-buddy thought it would be funny to cut into my lane while I was on one wheel and hit me head on.(by the way he was drivin MY car). Anyways Im married now and just like to ride. So just be safe and don't try to make anyone say "oh wow did you see that!".
